My name is Sharalyn Fichtl. I served as peace officer for the State of Texas for approximately 11 and 1/2 years. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law Enforcement Administration.

I was hired by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) in 1994. While serving in the Narcotics Service at DPS, I received extensive training and experience in diversion investigations. Diversion investigations allowed me to become knowledgeable of the state laws and DPS rules and regulations that apply to registrants and their prescription writing privileges, as well as drug storage regulations.

In 2002, I accepted a position with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) as a Field Investigator. During my three year employment with the TSBDE, I became increasingly diversified in my knowledge of the laws, rules, and regulations that are set forth for dental professionals.

My experience in investigating registrants and the premises in which they practice, has allowed me to build an extensive knowledge of the laws and rules that are commonly broken. I also stay current on any and all changes or updates made to the board rules and any laws that pertain to dentistry. My services are ideal for the registrant who has been given a board order requiring him/her to enroll and participate in a compliance audit service as well as for the dentist who simply wants their practice audited.
